Darcie Carsner Torres – Professional Editor and Writer
Since 2008, I have been a freelance professional editor and writer providing services to academics and small and mid-sized businesses.
I have written and edited in an academic setting, for myself as well as others. I have a B.A. in Political Science and History, graduating magna cum laude. I was a Research Assistant at the Iowa Social Science Institute, University of Iowa, where I performed statistical research, analysis, writing and editing for academically published articles and books. From 1997 to 2008, I was a top level paralegal at firms in Iowa and Orlando, Florida.
As a professional editor and writer, my clients are world renowned academics and business professionals, published in the United States and internationally. In 2011, I began a business partnership with writers Chuck Waldron and Chautona Havig helping independent fiction authors publish and promote their work through CanAm Author Services.
I work with a very small staff of skilled, professional, independent contractors who assist me at times within their specialties. I personally inspect and edit all materials that go out the door to ensure the highest quality product for our customers.
